The Education background and Career Information of Dr. Koularmanis
Anastasios Koularmanis was originally from Toronto Canada where he was born. H parents were Greek Canadians, Demetrios and Areti Koularmanis who were originally from Tripoli, Arcadia. But right after his birth, the entire family had relocated to New York City’s Corona district. In New York, he grew up and got enrolled into the Queen's College in the year 1992. There he studied English Education for his graduation degree.
After
a few years, he returned to Queen's College to study Secondary Education for
his post-graduation course in 1996. He was teaching in many different schools
right after gaining his post graduate degree but he was interested in the
administrative department of the schools. This is what drove him to take
another post-graduation course and learn administration and supervision from
the Queen's College.
His
professional repertoire
Meanwhile,
he was working at various different schools like the Franklin K. Lane High
school and The Hicksville High school. After teaching in these schools for a
few years, he had been appointed as the Adjunct lecturer in the LaGuardia
Community college. After gaining his post-graduation degree and administration
division, he became more enthusiastic about working in the administrative
department. Soon he received a job opportunity at the Saint Demetrios school
system where he was offered the role of the Assistant Principal.
Within
a very short frame of time, his hard work and curiosity to learn had finally
paid off. Only after 6 months of work as Assistant Principal, he received the
offer for the position of the Supervising Principal in the same school. Here,
he worked diligently for more than twenty years and raised the standards of
Greek American education in all of the United States.
He
is living very happily along with his wife Mary Koularmanis and his two loving
sons, Ioannis and Demetrios Koularmanis.
At present he is the new director of Greek Education and he wants to help all
parochial schools in the United States.
